There is only one thing that stops you living the life that you desire…and that thing is fear.
Fear holds you back in every day life because we are afraid of failure and as a result we do not achieve what we desire.
Fear creeps into your mind in everyday life, for example we can be afraid of upsetting or hurting someone’s feelings if we say the wrong thing or worry that we’ll disappoint them if we haven’t met their expectations.
At work we fear that we aren’t good enough, as a consequence we don’t push ourselves to ask for the promotion and instead stay in our comfort zone.
How many times have you lost count when you want to ask someone out on a date but for the fear of rejection you don’t even ask the question and that person slips away.
Those that have ideas of working for themselves fear we are not capable of starting a business and instead stay frustrated and unfulfilled.
Imagine what these situations would be like if you were 10 times bolder…
It would all start with you confidently expressing your opinions, standing up for yourself and not worrying about what other people think.
Asking for the opportunity to show your boss what you can do and getting that promotion
Finding the courage to ask that special person in your life out on a date
Taking risks and pursing your dream of owning your own business.
When you don’t ask for what you want it’s because you think that you don’t deserve it and you’re not worthy of it.
The fact is that doing something that makes you feel uncomfortable helps you to overcome feelings of inadequacy and build your self-esteem and boost your confidence.
As a bolder person, you will be able to deal with every challenges and overcome obstacles that you are faced with.
At some point in your life you would have stepped out of your comfort zone and became confident and assured in certain situations. Think about this type of situation that you feel confident and bold in right now.
That feeling of being in control is empowering and makes you feel that you can achieve anything, why not project that same feeling into other parts of your life
So lets reflect back on the life that you desire, think about your purpose and your goals. What would life look and feel like and when fear tries to stop you from moving forward, from living the life you desire, ask yourself this question…
